All tours can be cancelled with more than 72 hours notice from departure time.
To offset the fact we don't charge booking and processing fees, we charge a 20% cancellation fee.
There is no penalty for tours we cancel due to weather safety.
All tours cancelled with less than 72 hours notice are non-refundable unless you purchased Peek Protect.
If you wish to cancel a Peek Protect booking you must use the provided cancellation link and your Order ID not the Booking ID.
Kayak Lake Mead – Terms & Conditions

Booking & Payment
All bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
Prices are per person and do not include the $25 National Park Service vehicle entrance fee to Lake Mead National Recreation Area (or applicable America the Beautiful pass).
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations more than 72 hours before departure: 80 % refund (20 % non-refundable processing fee).
Cancellations less than 72 hours before departure or no-shows: non-refundable.
We reserve the right to cancel any tour due to unsafe weather, water conditions, insufficient participants, or other safety concerns. In such cases a full refund or rescheduling option will be offered at our discretion.
Rescheduling requests are treated as cancellations and are subject to the same policy and availability.
Participant Requirements
Minimum age: 5 years old. Children 8 and under are strongly recommended to ride in a tandem kayak with an adult.
Maximum weight: approximately 285 lbs (130 kg) for persons over 6 ft (183 cm); subtract roughly 15 lbs per inch under 6 ft. Heavier participants may be required to use a tandem kayak for stability.
All participants must be able to enter/exit the kayak independently or with minimal assistance, remain seated and balanced for extended periods, and manage their own personal needs for the duration of the tour.
Health & Safety
Kayaking involves physical exertion and inherent risks including, but not limited to, capsizing, sun exposure, dehydration, and rapidly changing weather.
Participants must disclose any medical conditions or concerns that could affect safety at check-in. Guides may refuse participation if they believe a participant poses a risk to themselves or the group; no refund will be issued in such cases.
Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability
You participate entirely at your own risk and voluntarily assume all risks associated with the activity.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Mojave Adventure Kayaking LLC, its owners, employees, guides, and agents from any liability for injury, loss, damage, or death arising from participation in the tour or any related activities.
Weather & River Conditions
Tours operate rain or shine unless we determine conditions are unsafe. No refunds are provided for discomfort caused by heat, cold, wind, or light rain.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for cancellations, delays, or modifications caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, wildfires, government orders, extreme water levels, or road closures. In such cases we will offer rescheduling or a refund at our sole discretion.
Alcohol & Drugs
Consumption of alcohol or use of impairing substances before or during the tour is strictly prohibited. Guides may refuse participation with no refund if a participant appears impaired.
Late Arrival Policy
Participants must check in at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Late arrivals may be treated as no-shows and will not receive a refund.
Group Size & Minimum Participants
Most tours require a minimum of 2 paying participants. If the minimum is not met, we may cancel the tour and offer a full refund, reschedule the booking, or convert it to a private tour with an additional fee.
Pets
Pets 25 lbs or less are permitted only if they wear a properly fitted life jacket (not provided by us) and remain under control at all times.
Personal Belongings
We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or water-damaged personal items.
Photo & Video
Guides may take photos during the tour and share them at no charge. By participating you grant permission for your likeness to be used for promotional purposes without compensation.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Clark County, Nevada.
Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of your booking applies.
By completing a booking and participating in a tour, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
